CASSIE FIREMAN
Cassie has always had a deep love for people and music but it wasn’t until her mid 30’s that she pursued singing professionally. With no previous training she went from writing songs in her bedroom to becoming the lead singer of indie folk rock band Dirty Mae which toured 12 states along the east coast playing over 90 shows, including being hand selected by Adam Duritz ( Lead singer of Counting Crows) to perform at his Underground Sunshine festival in NYC.
This past year, Cassie has gone on to create her own style of sultry pop music and recorded her first solo album titled “Thin Air” which she describes as capturing a moment in time that has felt difficult to breath for many reasons. Combining her music with her passion for human and animal rights, Cassie has led music and wellness retreats in Costa Rica, Panama and Nicaragua for 7 years where students perform concerts benefiting the Howler Monkey Wildlife Refuge and baby sea turtle conservations. Cassie founded and launched Big Red Fest- an all Womens Festival in New York City benefiting survivors of domestic violence and is always looking for new ways to connect, create and inspire a more balanced and sustainable future through music and art.
